I still remember the feeling I had making churros as a girl with my abuela Adela at her home in Chihuahua, Mexico.
The sweet aroma of cinnamon sugar and crisp fried dough. The importance I felt as I mixed the sugar, cinnamon and butter together. The smiles we shared as my abuela imparted her baking wisdom. Oh, and the taste. The melt-in-your mouth deliciousness as I took the first bite. Nothing beats warm, homemade churros.
ThisChurro Baked Oatmeal I will be sharing with you in celebration of Cinco de Mayo encompasses her delicious Churro recipe but in a new form.
